The Samsung Innovation Lab at Cambridge Institute of Technology (CITNC) is established in collaboration with Samsung R&D Institute Bangalore to provide students with industry-oriented training and research opportunities in emerging technologies. The lab focuses on advanced domains such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, Computer Vision, Generative AI, and Coding & Programming. Through this initiative, students gain hands-on exposure to real-world applications, industry projects, and modern technological tools, helping them become industry-ready professionals. The laboratory is equipped with advanced infrastructure including GPU workstations, high-performance desktops, Raspberry Pi devices, and data processing facilities to support innovation and research activities.
The Samsung Innovation Lab also promotes collaborative research between faculty members, students, and Samsung mentors. Regular mentoring sessions, workshops, innovation challenges, and project-based learning activities are conducted to bridge the gap between academia and industry. Students are encouraged to work on research problems, publish technical papers, and develop innovative solutions that may lead to patents and product development. In addition, the Samsung SEED (Student Ecosystem for Engineered Data) Lab established within the campus supports AI and Data Science projects through end-to-end data engineering and analytics activities.
